Overview: I'd been down the road at JNH while Hans was writing themes for Da Vinci, consequently I'd been aware of how the score was evolving. Despite the head start it took me a while to dial into this one. Hans created such a detailed score, leaving very little margin for additional elements, especially around the dialog, yet there was scope in there somewhere! Over a period of weeks ideas evolved and began to take shape, all very ambient, very atmospheric and the feedback from the dub was very positive. The critics weren't so kind to the movie but it's a suberb score.

Highlights: The Da Vinci Code was one of those projects where you never really appreciate your place in the great scheme of things until you see the final cut. I was very pleased with the overall effect, there's a lot of deviousnoises throughout this one, I  guess the opening titles into the entire Louvre scene sums up my input throughout.
