Overview: A James Newton Howard score, another superhero and one of my favourites from my youth too! Believe it or not this is the first sci-fi movie I've ever worked on which was interesting in terms of not being restricted by the need for everything to remain earthbound. In short, Green Lantern was about creating a universe, the sound of green light and the power of will to the sound of yellow light and fear. I spent a few months on this one, both in the UK and at James's studio in LA.
Highlights: GL was such a good team to part of, the entire project was a lot of fun from start to finish. James's score is a mixture of textures, driving rhythms and orchestral themes, the late night Grappa kept us on course too!
